The geothermal energy is the heat that comes from within the earth. Extremely high temperatures are continuously produced inside the earth. The heat from below the earth’s surface can be used to create electricity.
The geothermal energy it has some disadvantages and one of them is that it affect land stability in the surrounding region which can cause earth quakes in the future. It also costs a large amount of money just to start a geothermal plant.
However on the other hand the geothermal has so many advantages it is much safer for the surrounding environment. It is also sustainable sours of energy since the hot water that been used in the geothermal process can be re-injected into the ground to produce more steam. Plus the geothermal power plants are unaffected by changing weather conditions.
Iceland is one of the countries that use the geothermal energy. It is situated in an area with a high concentration of volcanoes, making it an ideal location for generating geothermal energy. Almost 1/5 of Iceland the electrical energy is generated from geothermal sources. And they mainly depend on the geothermal energy for generating heat.

Carbon Foot Print

The carbon foot print is a way to understand global warming .its a measure of how our actions affects the climate and the global warming. The foot prints measures the amount of greenhouse gases (GHGs) for example the amount of CO2 that we produce when we use things like cars. There are several ways to measure the carbon footprints for countries and individuals. There are many GHGs but the most common is the CO2. They usually use the energy that we use from things like transport, home and consumables to calculate the amount of carbon foot prints that we make. Every one has to know his carbon foot print so we can reduce the amount that been produced. There are many ways to reduce the amount of carbon foot prints. We have to raise the efficiency of our energy that we use and reduce the energy that we use as well. Every one has to learn how to calculate our own foot prints. There are many sites provides this facility to help people calculating their carbon foot print.
Critical Thinking

Critical thinkers are basically people who always want to have more information beyond what’s given. The fact that people of all kinds should think with an open and critical mind, this meaning that they would look at obstacles from the side of the ‘cup being half empty, instead of half full’. We should encourage our selves to think ‘outside the box’ meaning that critical thinking requires minds to see beyond ones imagination, hence reaching new theories and ideas. The power to think critically comes from within ones self and choice to go there, it requires a lot of patience and meditation in order to asses certain situations or cases. The more that we try to asses critically, then the more experience we will have, therefore the more we would see through thinking critically.Along with a lot of experience from critical thinking come a lot of benefits that help an individual tackle certain obstacles through evaluating, assessing to drawing up a final conclusion. This thought process that has been set for us to follow would almost certainly destroy any hoax ideas that may hide up the true conclusions of certain situations or problems. This is due to the high levels of assessment methods that are designed to make any small parts of a problem or situation look more appealing and understandable in the sense that one can see that certain part of the problem from all sides, hence thinking outside the box. Therefore critical thinking is the way to go about solving any problem that has plenty of twists and catches to it.http://www.admc.hct.ac.ae/hd1/blog/critthink.ppt
Global Warming

The former United States vice president Al Gore produced a documentary about one of the most important potential problems that could occur, this was ‘global ‘warming’.He goes on to mentioning the climate change and the potential harm it can cause; AL Gore mentioned many important points in the movie. One of them being the beauty of nature, as he showed the river scene in the beginning of his movie and discussed issues and problems as to how global warming can be of potential hazard to nature. One of the most emphasized points in the movie was the melting of the northern and southern ice caps, the emphasis was all directed on to how many people would start to seek refuge in lower sea level areas and how wildlife and animals will change and maybe in some cases even die due to the high levels in water. For example some of the white polar bears in that upper region are said to be going to have a harder time adapting due to the rise in temperature in the arctic waters. Not only does this movie criticize what would happen in further stages of global warming, but it also goes on to talk about how us as modern civilians are responsible for setting our own traps in our own soil, it emphasizes the way of how we pump greenhouse gases into the atmosphere which will lead to global warming. Towards the end of the movie Al gore went on to proving that global warming is going on by showing a couple of examples of places that have been affected by this man maid disease, whereby later on suggesting ways in which us humans can either delay or maybe even prevent global warming.
Cool City
The video talks about the Cool City. Since the industrial revaluation is growing up. It led to many issues like the rise of population. That’s why they thought of the Cool City since it has fewer amounts off CO2. The city has a diameter of 2 km. one of the main reasons of carbon dioxide emission is from the transportation. For that reason, Cool City will have other ways of transportation like water transportation, hybrid car parking and pedestrian decks. The city will have many zones for example the business/public, residential, cultural, resort and solar powered plant. The Cool City will reduce the amount of the CO2 by 50%.
